Never Leaving Nashville

You may or may not have seen on Instagram (@coffeewithkylie) I took my first trip to NASHVILLE last weekend!!!! Literally cried the day before leaving because I was so excited. Ahhh emotions…amiright, ladies? I’ll be honest, and you can make fun of me if you want, but I didn’t realize it was basically all bars…and most of what you do is drink. So that was an interesting surprise. But despite the lack of sleep, hydration, and nutrition, I did my best to survive! I swear I’m 24 going on 60… #GrandmaStatus

Aside from the large amount of drinking and bar hopping, we did get to do a few other things…my two favorite being listen to some INCREDIBLE live country music, and eat some of the best southern cooking / BBQ I’ve ever had. Those will be the things I will hold onto most, after the quality time I got to spend with Alex and friends/family.

If you’ve been following my blog since the beginning, you may have seen this post about The Bobby Bones Show. Let’s just say I’m a super fan of this Nashville-based radio talk show, and truly believe I go way back with this group of people I’ve never met. So there was no way I was going to go to Nashville and not stop by their studio. Call me crazy, but I just had to!

Although they couldn’t bring us into the studio, we did get to meet Morgan (one of the producers) and she was as sweet as can be! She set us up with some free Pimpin’ Joy gear (refer to previous post in regards to Pimpin’ Joy) and is even scheduling a meet and greet for us when the crew is in Tampa! I was beside myself! My dreams have come true!

I’m feeling the need to admit slight embarrassment at the way I geeked out about meeting Morgan. Imagine me shouting responses to her questions instead of speaking in a normal tone, consistent creepy smiling, slightly shaking with excitement. And I didn’t come down from this for a few hours. I was really starting to worry Alex…

Despite the exhaustion and slight overindulgence, I’d call the weekend a success. I am so grateful to be crossing Nashville off the bucket list! I’m sure we’ll go back some time in the future, so please leave some of your favorite Nashville stops below! Help us diversify our next experience!

Xoxo,

Kylie

Sweetfields Farm

So, remember my fall bucket list? You know, the one I just posted about last week? I decided to kick it off this past weekend. ALL WEEKEND LONG. We went to Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens (I think that counts as a haunted house), did a little fall decorating, and had a scary movie marathon. But I think my favorite part of the weekend was our day at the pumpkin patch/corn maze…AKA Sweetfields Farm!

It was a semi-toasty Florida day (aren’t they all?) but that didn’t slow us down! We got to pet goats, play silly farm games, eat BBQ and drink apple cider…as well as conquer a really long corn maze (and by conquer I mean exit early because the wind was blocked and we were sweating profusely). We even left with three perfect pumpkins, including a teeny tiny one for our giant dog!…because no matter his size, he’s still the baby. Can I get an “Amen!” fellow fur mamas?

The farm was packed with so much to do that we weren’t even able to complete it all! I feel inclined to mention the hay ride, as well as the potato launcher… Seriously so many fun Fall activities!

Next year I’m hoping to make it back so that we can partake in what we couldn’t this time, and spend some more time with the rest of the farm animals! Do y’all have any pumpkin patch recommendations? In the Tampa Bay area and beyond?

In the words of my extremely witty boyfriend… #SquashGoals.
