How would you describe Christmas in a few words? Besides the birth of our Lord and Savior, of course… When I think of Christmas, I think of the scents, the cozy linens, the ornaments on the tree. And I believe everyone should be able to manifest this Christmas feeling, no matter their finances. Below are the few, inexpensive items you need to fully embrace the holiday in your home.
I’m the kind of gal that likes a simple Christmas tree…and it does not get any simpler than these clear glass ornaments. They’re $6 per package and add just a little sparkle to your tree. And if you’re craving a little something more, grab a roll of ribbon for DIY bows.
Talk about making a huge statement with one purchase. These sheets are originally $30 (not too shabby) but I got them on sale for $18!! And they’re so stinkin’ cute! Talk about a win-win.
All you need is one statement pillow in your living room to make it feel nice and Christmasy… I found this one at Wayfair and immediately fell in love. It’s clean, simple, and small…so it makes for the perfect accent…and the Santa theme reminds me to stay young and full of wonder!
The next thing you have got to have is a stocking holder (or two…or more). And if you have a dog like I do, this one will probably steal your heart. It’s a little pricier than I would like, on sale at $20 each, but if you’re going to splurge on anything…this is it!
This is one of my favorite places to shop for seasonal wood framed signs. I definitely wouldn’t say the products are cheap, but I wouldn’t say they’re overly expensive either. It’s worth a gander if you’re into this style of decorating… The above are my two obsessions.
I’m about to rock your world…
So this year Alex and I opted for a fake tree, because the messiness of the real tree last year drove me bonkers. But I was so sad because one thing I love more than anything is the Christmas tree smell. So my mom suggested that we buy a real, fresh wreath, and use it laid flat as a centerpiece on our dining room table. SAY WHAT?! Mind. Blown. So that way we get the fresh Christmas tree scent without all the pine needle mess. I’m serious, I will never not need my mother. These are $10 at Lowes/Home Depot. Go. Go now.
I have linked to one candle but there are lots of different scents… I mean, I like candles at all times of year but at Christmas they are a MUST. Target has some super delightful options at $5-$10 a pop…but I can’t guarantee you won’t go on a baking spree post purchase.
The last suggestion I have is a faux fur blanket. Not only are they the coziest things ever (so what better time to buy one?) but you can use them all year round. Gray is a perfect neutral for every season, and the silky back has me ALL kinds of relaxed just looking at it.
One last bonus tidbit…the dollar section at Target! They have the cutest kitchen towels, servings platters, small plates, and all kinds of other cute Christmas things for only $3 each. If you follow me on Instagram (@coffeewithkylie) you know what I snagged from this section 😉 There are some serious holiday steals, y’all!
Where do you shop for your holiday decor? I cannot get enough of it!
